It is a pleasure to share a little about our family with you.
I am Lucas Gabriel, and I completed the Theology program at Seminário Teológico Cristão Evangélico do Brasil (SETECEB) in 2019. I am married to Nadine, and together we are the parents of Elisa, Isabel, Pedro and Amélia.
We are missionaries with Missão Cristã Evangélica (MCE), the cross-cultural mission agency of Igreja Cristã Evangélica do Brasil (ICEB). In cooperation with churches, MCE prepares, sends and cares for missionaries who proclaim Jesus Christ among different peoples and cultures.
We began pastoral ministry in 2020. I served for two and a half years as pastor of Igreja Cristã Evangélica Esperança in Anápolis, Goiás, Brazil.
In 2022, we moved to Japan. Since our arrival, we have served in partnership with Holiness churches: first, for two and a half years, with Igreja Evangélica Holiness do Brasil in Toyohashi.
In 2025, we began a new stage of this journey in partnership with the Japan Holiness Church. We started serving at Nagoya Castle North Church (名古屋城北教会), which belongs to the Japan Holiness Church (日本ホーリネス教団).
We are serving the local church while learning Japanese. We remain committed to learning about the culture, trusting that God wants to call many Japanese people to know the Gospel of Eternal Life in Jesus Christ.

We want to share our experiences here in Japan, where the gospel of Christ has been revealed in surprising and transforming ways. We will tell you about our personal journeys, challenges, victories and the lessons we learn as we walk by faith in a country so different from our own. Through these stories, we hope to show how real and tangible God’s presence can be, whatever the culture or place.
