01 / Our mission affiliation
MCE
Missão Cristã Evangélica
Missão Cristã Evangélica (MCE) is the cross-cultural mission agency of Igreja Cristã Evangélica do Brasil (ICEB). It grew out of the denomination’s missionary work and cooperates with churches to proclaim Jesus Christ among the nations.
Its work includes preparing and sending missionaries, developing projects and caring for those serving in the field. This support includes biblical counseling and visits as needs and circumstances allow, valuing the lives and journeys of missionary families.
We are missionaries with MCE. In Japan, we retain this affiliation while serving in partnership with the Japan Holiness Church at Nagoya Castle North Church. Our journey brings together service to the local church, learning the language and culture, and a desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
About MCE ↗02 / Our denominational family
ICEB
Igreja Cristã Evangélica do Brasil
Igreja Cristã Evangélica do Brasil (ICEB) is an evangelical denomination whose missionary roots date to 1901, with the founding of Igreja Cristã Paulistana in São Paulo. Its history is closely connected with sharing the Gospel, establishing church communities and preparing people for Christian ministry.
Its identity centers on Scripture, the preaching of Jesus Christ and life in fellowship. Through its churches, it pursues evangelism, discipleship and service to others, seeking to help Christians live out their faith in everyday life.
ICEB also invests in theological training through SETECEB and cross-cultural mission through MCE. This is the denominational family to which our mission belongs and with which our own journey is connected, bringing together theological training, church life and service in Japan.
